BUT we are now offering online workshops for individuals and groups, conducted by Skype and email. These cover the same material as a weekend workshop (see below).
Participants receive a series of presentations to work through, plus simple and enjoyable exercises to help them visualise and develop their plans.
Feedback and the opportunity to ask questions is then supplied via Skype.
These cost £80 for one person, £45 each for two; £35 each for three; £25 each for four. Get in touch for more information and to sign up.
One Planet Development in Wales is a planning policy that results in people being able to build zero carbon homes and live low impact lives.
What do you learn?
How to map out a management plan for a ‘one planet’ project and understand the other planning and business requirements.
Topics include: land assessment, agroecology, renewable energy, food, land-based businesses, zero carbon building and transport, water supply, ecological sewage treatment, land management, monitoring, and planning applications.
Your project may vary in size from a single household to a community. Businesses may also work towards ‘one planet’ status.
‘One Planet’ Living is a way of living without harming the planet – and actually repairing it. The goal of the work is to measure and reduce the project’s total ecological footprint. You’ll learn on the course how to achieve this using the policy’s metrics.
You will turn your vision into reality by making a draft of your own management plan and by the end of the course have a thorough overview of what is involved.
You can take it at your own pace.
A key course book is The One Planet Life: A Blueprint for Low Impact Development.
We are planning a real world weekend in Newtown, mid-Wales, in June at the moment. Get in touch for more information.
Please contact us if you want us to run a course in your area or online.
